Step 1: Complete Inspection

It is critical that a comprehensive analysis is performed to determine the condition of the existing roof and roof deck. It is at this stage that all existing and potential defects and leaks are identified.

Step 2: Preparation

Special attention is given to all strategic areas. A permanently flexible and waterproof sealant compound is used to seal drains, scuppers, skylights, roof edgings and flashing.

Step 3: Reinforcement

Additional reinforcement along this edge is applied in problem areas that are typical to existing standard hot tar roof systems.

Step 4: Equipment Reinforcement

Roof mounted equipment also needs extra attention. We install a heavy duty membrane under this type of equipment that withstands vibration and the additional weight of the equipment.

Step 5: More Reinforcement

Every roof has its own unique leak prone areas. We may use polyurethane foam to seal pitch pans, sight fence supports and other troublesome roof penetrations, eliminating them as an ongoing maintenance item.

Step 6: More Preparation

Polyurethane foam may be used to build up and level low areas on your roof to reduce standing water.

Step 7: Total Roof Reinforcement

A polyester reinforcement membrane is bonded to the existing roof surface adding strength. The membrane is broomed so that it integrates as a permanent component, creating a roof that is 3 times stronger and more flexible than the original.

Step 8: Layered Protection

There is usually more than one way to successfully address a problem and your roofing system is no different. Whether you are looking for a low-cost solution with a single reinforcement membrane, or a substantial upgrade, we can design a roof system to fit your exact needs and price point.

Step 9: Additional Insurance

There is no better (or cost effective) time to replace your aging, leaking skylights. As a result, you will enhance your interior daylighting, improve worker productivity and reduce your electric bills.

Step 10: Final "Cool Roof" UV Armor

Finally, select a reflective top surfacing. Aluminum provides an economical solution. White acrylic surfacings provide an even better long term solution that will greatly extend roof life, lower your roof surface temperature, reduce your energy bills and improve interior comfort.
